Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of the Android apps published by Abdul Majeed on Google Play, and of this website. Please read them before installing an app.

Agreement to these terms

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Abdul Majeed, trading as XStudio (Pakistan). They cover every Android application we publish on Google Play and this website.

By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the apps. If you are using an app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve your use, that person must review and accept these terms for you. Nothing in these terms waives a right that applicable consumer law does not allow you to waive.

Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Where Google Play's terms conflict with ours in respect of distribution or payment, Google's terms apply.

Licence to use the apps

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, for as long as you comply with these terms.

This is a licence, not a sale. We keep all rights we do not expressly grant you. Buying a paid app or an in-app purchase buys you the licence described here, not ownership of the software.

What you may not do

You agree not to:

  • copy, sell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the apps or any part of them;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble an app, except to the extent that law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
  • remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
  • use an app to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to distribute malware or unlawful content;
  • interfere with the app's security features, tamper with advertising or billing, or attempt to obtain paid features without paying;
  • use automated means to access, scrape, or overload any service the app depends on.

Privacy and permissions

Our Privacy Policy explains how each app and its providers access, collect, use, share, retain, and delete data. It forms part of these terms. The app-specific policy linked from each Google Play listing controls if it differs from the account-wide policy.

A privacy policy is not a substitute for a required in-app disclosure, consent request, or Android runtime permission. You may decline or revoke a permission, but a feature that needs it may stop working. We will not treat acceptance of these terms as consent where privacy or advertising law requires a separate choice.

Accounts

Some apps let you create an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly if you believe someone else has access. You are responsible for activity you authorise through the account.

You can request permanent account and associated-data deletion through the in-app account settings or the external pathway in the Privacy Policy's account-deletion section. We may retain only data needed for a legal, security, fraud-prevention, purchase, or dispute-related reason, as explained there.

Deleting an app account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription or refund a purchase. You must cancel any subscription separately in Google Play. We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches these terms, but suspension is not a substitute for deletion when you validly request deletion.

Purchases, subscriptions and refunds

Paid apps, in-app purchases, and subscriptions are sold and processed through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment method and provides the applicable checkout terms. We do not receive your full card or bank-account details.

  • Prices are shown in the app or store listing before you buy, and include tax where the law requires it.
  • Subscriptions, if offered, renew at the price and interval shown in the purchase screen until cancelled. Cancel before the next renewal in Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation normally stops the next charge and access continues for the paid period, unless the purchase screen, Google Play rules, or applicable law says otherwise.
  • Refunds follow Google Play's refund rules and any non-waivable right under local consumer law. You may request a refund through Google Play or contact us for help with an app or entitlement problem.
  • Consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty, misdescribed, or unavailable digital content, remain unaffected where they cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may discontinue an app or paid feature, but doing so does not remove any refund, repair, replacement, or other remedy that applicable law or Google Play's rules gives you.

Advertising

Apps identified as ad-supported on their Google Play listing may display ads supplied by Google AdMob and any mediation partner identified in the app-specific privacy policy. Accepting these terms is not consent to personalised advertising. Where consent is required, the app presents separate advertising privacy choices.

Ads and associated offers are part of the app experience and must comply with the app's content rating and applicable Google Play ads rules. We design placements to be identifiable as ads, shown only inside the app serving them, and dismissible where required. We do not require an ad click or submission of personal information before you can use the app.

Third-party networks select and deliver individual ads. If an ad appears deceptive, inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful, report it to us with the app name and a screenshot where possible so we can investigate or report it to the provider. How advertising services process data is set out in our privacy policy.

Interfering with ad delivery, or using an app in a way designed to generate invalid ad impressions or clicks, is a breach of these terms.

Your content

Content you create in an app stays yours. We claim no ownership over it. Where an app syncs content at your request, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, and technically process it only as needed to provide, secure, and support that feature. The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to the limited retention described in the privacy policy.

You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it. Keep your own backups where an app provides an export option. We do not promise that local or synced content can always be recovered, but this does not exclude liability or a remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Availability and updates

We work to keep the apps available and supported, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue an app or any feature, and we may release updates that add, change, or remove functionality. For a material adverse change to a paid feature, we provide notice where reasonably possible and honour any remedy required by applicable law or Google Play rules.

Android may install updates automatically depending on your settings. Some updates are needed for an app to keep working, particularly when a platform requirement or a security fix is involved.

Third-party services

Our apps rely on services operated by others - Google Play, Firebase, and advertising networks among them. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their independent services or third-party destinations, but this does not remove our responsibility for the providers and SDKs we choose to integrate. Our privacy policy lists the partners we use.

Intellectual property

The apps, their source code, design, name, logo, and all related material are owned by Abdul Majeed and protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.

If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use and adapt the feedback to improve or promote the apps, without an obligation to implement it or compensate you. This does not grant us rights to personal data or app content included with the feedback beyond what the privacy policy permits.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind - express or implied - including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that an app will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that it will work with every device or Android version.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law permits, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Abdul Majeed is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the apps.

Our total liability for all claims relating to an app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that app in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims, direct losses, and reasonable legal costs caused by your intentional unlawful misuse of an app, your material breach of these terms, or content that infringes another person's rights. This clause does not apply to liability caused by us and does not restrict non-waivable consumer rights.

Termination

These terms apply until terminated. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the apps and deleting any account you hold. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful use, fraud, security risk, or where a provider or law requires it. Where appropriate, we give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.

On termination, your right to use the affected app or account ends. Account data is handled under the privacy policy. Uninstalling or deleting an account does not itself cancel a Google Play subscription. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law, survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over disputes.

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, you keep the benefit of your local mandatory law and may bring proceedings in your own courts.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the provision is read down to the minimum extent needed to make it valid.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when an app, provider, business practice, or legal requirement changes. The “last updated” date identifies the current version. We provide reasonable advance notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel where required. Changes apply prospectively and do not reduce accrued or non-waivable rights. Where law requires express agreement or consent, continued use alone is not treated as agreement or consent.
